Meet Our Team!

  • ppdun-mackenzie

    Mackenzie graduated from a Master’s of Science in Physiotherapy from the University of Toronto in 2016, and received an Honours Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Psychology, Neuroscience, and Behaviour from McMaster University in 2013. She is a member of the Canadian and Ontario Physiotherapy Associations. In 2016 she obtained her CPA Orthopaedic Division Level 1 Manual Therapy certificate. In the future she plans on specializing in post-concussion management, and combined decongestive therapy. She has gained clinical experience with sports injuries, post-surgical patients, geriatric and pediatric patient populations. Mackenzie actively participates in Crossfit and enjoys hiking in her spare time.

  • PPDUN - Kristen

    Kristen graduated from Sheridan College in 2011 where she obtained a Bachelor of Applied Health Science Degree in Athletic Therapy. Kristen has worked within many multidisciplinary clinics rehabilitating injuries and conditions effecting the body such as pre and post operative, post fracture, as well as repetitive and acute strain/sprains and a variety of chronic musculoskeletal conditions. She takes an active approach to the rehabilitation process by including a wide variety of soft tissue and manual therapy techniques, therapeutic modalities, orthopaedic bracing and prophylactic taping. Kristen is a firm believer in injury prevention and total conditioning and she incorporates this into her regime. Kristen also has experience working with athletes and she is no stranger to the injuries athletes face because she once was an elite level gymnast and still enjoys working within the sports world. She has experience working with athletes involved in hockey, football, field hockey, soccer and rugby as well as many other competitive and recreational activities; providing assessments and rehabilitation programs to return athletes to sport activity as safely and effectively as possible.

    Shannon Callaghan, Registered Massage Therapist

    Susan Maciulis is a Registered Massage Therapist with a couple of years experience in a clinical setting. She was previously a Child and Youth Worker specializing in behavioural support for 18 plus years. Susan has worked with adults with physical disabilities, developmental disabilities and Acquired Brain Injury. She has spent many years supporting children and youth and ran an in home treatment foster care for adolescent girls. Susan also has worked extensively with seniors with dementia and Alzheimers.

  • Wayne Jerome

    Dr. Wayne Jerome is a chiropractor at Performance Physiotherapy. He is a graduate of Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College (CMCC). Prior to attending CMCC, Dr. Jerome studied at McMaster University where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. He has been providing patient-centered chiropractic care, which is a hands-on health care discipline in the Hamilton area since 1986. He has worked with several local sport teams including the Hamilton Hurricane Junior Football team and the Hamilton Thunder Soccer team. Dr. Jerome practices diversified chiropractic technique which involves manual therapies, including spinal and extremity manipulation as well as lifestyle and rehabilitation recommendations. Dr. Jerome’s goal is to reduce pain, improve function, and educate patients so they may achieve and maintain their best quality of life.
