NOW OFFERING IN-PERSON CARE.
NOW OFFERING IN-PERSON CARE.
Update: June 24, 2020
The pandemic has been an incredible driver of change, and the healthcare industry has felt the ramifications more than most. COVID-19 has forced the healthcare system to change, to find new, safe and effective ways to provide care. While the environment has been incredibly challenging, it has also sparked innovation.
For CBI Health, it has often been a matter of accelerating plans already in place, as with our virtual care / telehealth platform. Virtual care has enabled us to not only keep our clients and staff safe, but to provide people with the best care when and where they need it, whether that’s in our clinics or in their homes. Even now, as we carefully expand our in-clinic services, our clients are reporting high levels of satisfaction with the virtual care they are receiving and appreciate the option to receive care in their own home. Virtual care has also allowed us to cross geographies and reach vulnerable clients in remote locations who would not otherwise have access to care. Equally encouraging, many of our highly specialized programs and services are now available virtually, and therefore available to all.
The new environment has also driven change and innovations in our partner network. We’ve been working with all kinds of new partners on all kinds of new things, creating and developing new ways to support the pandemic and post-pandemic world. We are doing innovative work with employers to expedite care for injured workers either virtually or in-person to support recovery from workplace injuries. We’re expanding our work with non-profit agencies and community groups, lending our support and expertise in important fields like social isolation, Alzheimer’s and dementia care. We’re working with exciting, creative experts in human-centred design to make sure that as we’re developing new programs and processes, we’re doing so in a way that keeps the client experience first.
Our relationship is also changing with our important partners in the healthcare system. We have been hard at work with hospitals across Canada to expand our community support services, developing new programs to expedite discharge and safely transition people back to their own homes post-surgery. We’re also working with health authorities on programs, services and tools to support extended or differentiated home care, and prepare for post-COVID support.
The healthcare industry has been changed forever. Transformation is needed to meet the new reality, and at a faster pace than anyone could have ever anticipated. With solid partners, an innovative mindset and incredibly hard work from all our staff across the country, we’re proving it can be done.
Take care, be safe and stay well.

Update: MARCH 30, 2020
To our valued patients,
In response to the COVID-19 virus pandemic, we want you to know that the health and well-being of our patients, staff and Doctors remains of utmost importance to us.
The Federal and Provincial Governments are both recommending to us daily that social distancing and self-isolation is the best defence to stop the spread of COVID-19.
We have made the difficult decision to escalate precautions and temporarily postpone all appointments in our schedule until further notice.
We are monitoring the recommendations from our governing bodies, and will continue to evaluate the situation on a daily basis.
As health care providers, we feel strongly that we have a social responsibility to follow recommendations and encourage others to exercise their right to protect themselves and those around them.
If you have an emergency, are in need of urgent care or have inquiries regarding custom bracing, please contact our affiliate clinic Westend Physiotherapy at:
905-524-2365.
