Mackenzie graduated from a Master’s of Science in Physiotherapy from the University of Toronto in 2016, and received an Honours Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Psychology, Neuroscience, and Behaviour from McMaster University in 2013. She is a member of the Canadian and Ontario Physiotherapy Associations. In 2016 she obtained her CPA Orthopaedic Division Level 1 Manual Therapy certificate. In the future she plans on specializing in post-concussion management, and combined decongestive therapy. She has gained clinical experience with sports injuries, post-surgical patients, geriatric and pediatric patient populations. Mackenzie actively participates in Crossfit and enjoys hiking in her spare time.
Khushboo Shah is Registered Physiotherapist and is in good standing with College of Physiotherapists of Ontario. She completed her Bachelor in Physiotherapy in the year 2011 from India. Before moving to Canada, Khushboo has worked in hospital settings and private clinics in India. Khushboo has gained clinical experience by treating pediatric patients, patients with orthopedic and neurological problems and by providing antenatal-postnatal care to pregnant females. Khushboo believes in manual therapy skills, education and exercise prescription to achieve maximum functional goals. She is trained in Mulligan concept of Manual therapy and utilizing her skills to assist individuals in improving movement restrictions, pain with movement and functional restrictions. She strives to bring a positive change in people's lives.
Jordan graduated with a bachelor of applied health sciences degree - Athletic Therapy with honours from Sheridan College in 2015. He became certified in November of 2015 and also holds a bachelor in Kinesiology from York University. Jordan has a lot of experience working with athletes of all skill level ranging from highschool football and minor lacrosse to professional hockey. He has two years of working experience with the Hamilton Bulldogs. Since graduating, Jordan has gained valuable clinical experience, deepening his manual and exercise based knowledge. Jordan enjoys participating in hockey and hiking in his spare time.
Shannon is an accomplished RMT currently focusing her career in General Swedish Massage. Her interest in massage therapy stems from her love of muscle anatomy. She is passionate about learning and understanding how the body works, as it varies with every individual and lifestyle. Since successfully graduating from Ontario College of Health and Technology she has kept current in techniques such as deep tissue massage, joint play and myofacial and soft tissue release. Shannon believes that Massage Therapy combined with proper home care and the right level of activity is key to reaching your treatment goals. Shannon is excited to expand her knowledge in massage therapy and learn new complimentary modalities to facilitate a custom treatment plan for each individual patient.
Dr. Wayne Jerome is a chiropractor at Performance Physiotherapy. He is a graduate of Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College (CMCC). Prior to attending CMCC, Dr. Jerome studied at McMaster University where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. He has been providing patient-centered chiropractic care, which is a hands-on health care discipline in the Hamilton area since 1986. He has worked with several local sport teams including the Hamilton Hurricane Junior Football team and the Hamilton Thunder Soccer team. Dr. Jerome practices diversified chiropractic technique which involves manual therapies, including spinal and extremity manipulation as well as lifestyle and rehabilitation recommendations. Dr. Jerome’s goal is to reduce pain, improve function, and educate patients so they may achieve and maintain their best quality of life.
Jennifer joined the Performance Physiotherapy team in March 2016. Jennifer is a definite people person and is very passionate about helping others. She has over 20 years experience in Administration and Customer Service and is also fully bilingual. Jennifer dedicates her life to her family, loves listening to music and spending time up North with friends and family throughout the year.
